There is a psychological service at our university, the purpose of which is psychological support, assistance in adapting to learning, improving the level of psychological and social well-being.

A charity project was launched at KhNMU

In accordance with the agreement on scientific and practical cooperation between KhNMU and “Anastasia Goretskaya’s Psychological Center” and within the framework of the Social company #Pidtrimuyulikarov, a charity project begins to work.

Employees and students of the medical university can get advice and support on issues related to the current situation in our life.

Reception is carried out online by appointment. It is free and confidential.

The project involves the center specialists working on the following issues:

- emotional reactions (anxiety, confusion, uncertainty, loneliness, fear of the future) and conditions caused by the pandemic and/or being quarantined;

- family and partnership relations in quarantine (conflicts, issues of personal space, joint stay and organization of life);

- support for parents with children of different ages, issues of establishing the educational process at home;

- planning, living and working under stress;

- crisis support for university employees who can be directly involved in the treatment and work with patients with COVID-19.

Improvement course of psychological and pedagogical qualification “Young teacher's school”

Improvement course of psychological and pedagogical qualification “Young teacher's school” constantly has been working since 2009. Training on a course is obligatory for those teachers of KhNMU whose length of service does not exceed 5 years.

Course aim:

improving the quality of education and improving teaching activities at KhNMU;
creating a system of professional development of young teachers;
ensuring productive interaction of experienced teachers with young specialists in joint teaching activities;

Course task:

adaptation of young teachers to teaching activities at KhNMU;
formation and development of theoretical and applied knowledge on the problems of pedagogy, psychology and teaching methods, taking into account innovative approaches in higher education;
skills formation in planning and implementation the educational and research activities;
creating conditions for the development of professional skills, involving young teachers to research activities,
implementation of the principles of continuity, regularity and continuity of training;
young teachers assistance in the search for individual teaching style and the introduction of modern teaching technologies in teaching work.

Courses organization:

Training groups consist of teachers of departments of KhNMU. The audience's teaching work experience is up to 5 years.The formation of groups is based on the selection of candidates for training, carried out by heads of departments and individual orders of teachers of KhNMU.

The courses are open, so every teacher of KhNMU has the opportunity to attend seminars they prefer the most.

Form of trainings:

The educational process is based on a full-time education without interrupting the teachers from their work.

Training sessions are held in the following forms:

lecture;
seminar;
training;
round table;
master class;
individual counseling on issues of psychology and pedagogy.

Objective and qualitative analysis of the course is carried out by the sociological group of KhNMU through interviews, questionnaires and focus groups. The results of the study are used as a basis for improving the work of the courses, the updated topics of seminars.

Educational process organization

Classes at the “Young teacher's school” are planned by the Educational-research Institute of education quality and implemented faculty and staff of KhNMU, involving invited professionals and teachers with years of teaching experience and creative work. The course facilitator is a practical psychologist of KhNMU.

The material and technical base of KhNMU is used in the course.

After working out the training programmes, audience receives a certificate of participant of the improvement course of psychological and pedagogical qualification “Young teacher's school” of the established sample.

“School of an experienced lecturer”

Within the intra-university framework of the advanced teacher training system at the Educational and Scientific Institute of quality of education of KHNMU, an "experienced lecturer's School" is held annually.

Experienced lecturers with at least five years of teaching experience are invited to the course. The course is aimed at improving and maintaining teaching skills, transferring your own experience and useful skills, implementing the latest technologies into the educational process, and discussing controversial topics.

Reputable colleagues and teachers who have foreign internships and actively implement interactive methods are invited as lecturers.
