Kharkiv National Medical University, systematic and steady work carries out to comply with the requirements of anti-corruption legislation:

The issue of strengthening work on the prevention and dealing with  abuse of authority, bribery and other negatives is in the chain of constant attention from the University administration and is carried out in accordance with the updated edition of the Anti-Corruption Program of Kharkiv National Medical University, approved by order of KhNMU No. 21 dated 02/10/2020 and the Action Plan , aimed at preventing and detecting corruption for 2020-2021, approved by order of KhNMU No. 543 dated December 27, 2019.

According to this plan, the elements of  maintenance and prevention of misfeasance, bribery at the University are:

- carrying out preventive explanatory work with teachers, staff and persons who study at the University, aimed at creating a stable awareness of the inadmissibility of committing corruption and other types of offenses;

- the HR Department, together with the Legal Department of the University, systematically monitors departments, and other divisions of the University regarding actual or potential conflict of interest; when hiring and transferring employees, the requirements of anti-corruption legislation on this issue are taken into account;

- the introduction of such a form as a letter of acquaintance with responsibility for committing corrupt acts, which was approved by the decision of the general meeting of the Labour Collective of Kharkiv National Medical University dated 08.30.2016;

- filling out declarations of property, income and expenses and financial obligations by the staff of the University;

- the application of a collegial procedure when the tender committee determines the procedures for public procurement of goods, services, works for budgetary funds of the university and the implementation of public procurement, the provision of administrative services, etc.;

- the introduction of "email helpline" on the University's website, which allows to make a constant analysis of applications received to its address in order to maintain and prevent misfeasance  and bribery.

Topical issues on preventing corruption at the University are promptly considered at official meetings of the University board, at meetings with student activists. The Student Council and the Student Trade Union committee of the University are involved in the work with the aim of forming student public opinion and fostering traditionally correct solutions to business (educational) relations.
