The Faculty is responsible for training of specialists in the field of 22 “Healthcare” in specialties of: -222 “Medicine” of the 2nd level (Master) of higher education; -224 “Technologies of Medical Diagnosis and Treatment” of the 1st level (Bachelor) of higher education; -224 “Technologies of Medical Diagnosis and Treatment” of the 2nd level (Master) of higher education; -227 “Physical Therapy and Ergotherapy” of the 2nd level (Master) of higher education; -227 “Physical Therapy and Ergotherapy” of the 2nd level (Master) of higher education; -229 “Public Health” of the 2nd level (Master) of higher education. Training of future medical workers is performed on an innovative basis with the involvement of the most qualified specialists in the field of medicine by mastering the humanities, socio-economic, natural sciences and professionally oriented medical disciplines under the guidance of experienced teachers - professors, associate professors: corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Prof., Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, Honorary Citizen of Kharkiv V.I. Lupaltsov, DrSc, PhD, MD; 2 Honored Workers of Science and Technology of Ukraine - Prof. I.F. Kostyuk, DrSc, PhD, MD (Department of Internal and Occupational Diseases) and Prof. M.P. Vorontsov, DrSc, PhD, MD (Department of Hygiene and Ecology № 1), laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, Prof. A.G. Istomin, DrSc, PhD, MD (Department of Sports, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy), etc. Teaching is conducted in accordance with modern requirements of higher education. Clinical departments of the faculty are located on the basis of leading clinics and specialized hospitals in Kharkiv, including the regional clinical hospital of infectious diseases, the hospital of the occupational diseases of the Institute of Occupational Health and Occupational Diseases of KhNMU, as well as the University Clinic of KhNMU. For professional training of bachelors and masters in the specialty "Technologies of Medical Diagnosis and Treatment", additional clinical diagnostic laboratories of research institutes are provided: "Institute of Dermatology and Venereology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine", "Institute of Endocrine Pathology named after V.Ya. Danilevsky of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”, “ Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology named after prof. MI Sytenko of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine", "Kharkiv Municipal Clinical Hospital № 2 named after prof. OO Shalimova” and leading laboratories of the city: “Ekomed”, “Zdorovya”, “Analytica”, “Metrolab” and “Kharkivstandartmetrologiya”. Future specialists in the specialty "Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy" have the opportunity to undergo a cycle of professional training at specialized facilities of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Prosthetics and Rehabilitation; municipal health care institution "Kharkiv Regional Medical and Physical Dispensary"; "Regional Clinical Specialized Dispensary for Radiation Protection of the Population", and, of course, in the University Clinic of KhNMU, where all the conditions for their professional development are created. Applicants for higher education of the faculty follow the principles of academic integrity. They are members of student government, trade union of students of KhNMU, student scientific society, volunteer movement of KhNMU, student council of dormitory №6, have a responsible civic position, and take an active part in public activities. Most graduates of the faculty after graduation are employed in accordance with their training. Upon successful completion of their studies, bachelors and masters have the right to work not only in medical institutions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, but also in research institutes and medical universitirs of Ukraine in positions provided by the relevant state regulations.
